Blue Peter Special - Freefall Record Breaker

This special edition of 'Blue Peter' focuses on presenter Janet Ellis, whose assignment with the RAF Falcons led her to become a record breaker. Her training was hindered by a number of setbacks, including a broken pelvis, but Janet persevered to become the first British woman to achieve a 90-second freefall parachute jump.

This programme was broadcast as a tribute to Janet Ellis, who had ended her four-year run as presenter on 'Blue Peter' the previous month.

↗ Originally broadcast 6 July 1987.
