Bird's Eye View - From Bishop Rock to Muckle Flugga
This edition takes a zigzag trip along the length of the UK by helicopter. The route takes us past the granite cliffs of Lundy, ruined Welsh abbeys and cyclists on the Isle of Man before heading up to the Hebrides, Orkney and out towards the Shetland Isles to journey's end, the lighthouse on Muckle Flugga.
Muckle Flugga is the most northerly rock in the UK. A temporary lighthouse was erected there in 1854, when the area was known simply as North Unst, and a permanent lighthouse was finally built in 1858. The area was renamed Muckle Flugga in 1964.
