We asked people in Cairo and London what they associate with the colour blue.

If someone’s really annoyed about something, they might say they’re ‘not a happy bunny لا يشعر بالسعادة.’ If too many things go wrong, it might be you’re having a ‘bad hair day يوم سيء.’

And too many bad hair days might turn into a ‘bad patch.’ At a time of life where things are really hard, you’re feeling very depressed, we might say you’re going through a bad patch فترة سيئة.

Every now and then something very sudden and very expected happens ‘out of the blue فجأة أو بصورة غير متوقعة’

Although, blue skies is one of the favourite colours for may people, but its the most hated colour for me as it refers to a football club which i despise back in my country. I really despise this colour and find it boring, and dull. Sorry guys!
