The latest version of the popular Windows operating system has just been launched by Microsoft.

Called Windows 7, Microsoft hopes that it will be more popular than its predecessor Windows Vista.

Whilst Windows Vista was an advanced operating system, a number of people felt that it put heavy demands on the systems resources.

This new edition of windows has more multimedia features and gives users more opportunities to deal with multimedia applications.

It is also said to be quicker and loads up faster than Vista and other operating systems.

One main problem that faced Vista was that it was said to be slower than other operating systems when used on a portable computer.

Microsoft say that they have taken this into account when designing Windows 7 and is designed to run on these portable computers.

But John Bogue, from Which? Computing, told the BBC that software bugs usual for new software and it is usually a good idea to wait a year until these issues are resolved.

Windows 7 looks modern and stylish and it will compete in a market that is highly competitive and has similar, high-quality software products.

I will not buy windows 7 before I know its real advantages and disadvantages. It may take 2 or 3 year but actually I am familiar with windows vista even it is heavy.

Yes I Need a new operating system but not like Vista OS, like 2000 OS because its fast and easy to using and not old version.

I'm not sure if i will buy the latest version of windows. I alredy have vista and I remember when I bought it how they told my it's the best operating system it was! Then they started to talk about its defectives!
I prefer to wait and make sure this time.

I believe that windows Vista is good, it has a nice interface, and you can solve its problems easily by keeping it up to date, but as you mentioned that it's a little bit slow on portable computers.

In fact, Ididn't try Windows Vista because my computer is old and its abilities not convenient for this version, but Isaw Windows 7 and Vista on my friend's computers and from my point of view, I think that Vista was better than Windows 7 in themes,but Windows 7 is better than Vista at all.

I'm not very excited about this new version of windows. I've been using Linux Ubuntu for more than 1 year now and it's been a great experience. I think everyone should give it a try. It costs absolutely nothing (free) and you are not going to lose anything. So, just try it you won't regret it.
