Lisa

Don't panic! English follows the Gaelic!

Halò,

'S e Lisa an t-ainm a th' orm. Tha mi a' fuireach ann an Pennsylvania sna Stàitean Aonaichte. Thog mi ùidh ann an Gàidhlig an dèidh dhomh leabhar anns an robh caractar Albannach a leughadh. B' ann às Alba a bha aon taobh de theaghlach mo shinn-seanmhar agus bu thoil leam tadhal air Alba aig àm air choreigin. Tha mi air Gàidhlig a chluinntinn 's tha mi den bheachd gur e cànan brèagha a th' ann 's gum bu chòir a dìon. Bu toil leam leabhraichean agus CDan a lorg a bheireadh dhomh cuideachadh ann a bhith ag ionnsachadh a' chànain air sgàth 's nach eil daoine mun cuairt orm a bhruidhneas i.

Tha mi duilich, chan eil dealbh agam a chuireas mi thugaibh an-dràsta.

Hello,

My name is Lisa. I live in Pennsylvania in the United States. I became interested in learning how to speak Gaelic after reading a book that had a Scottish character in it. My great-grandmother was half-Scot and I would like to visit Scotland someday in the future.

I have heard Gaelic spoken and believe it is a beautiful language that should be preserved. I would like to find books and CDs that could help me learn the language since there are not any people who speak it near where I live.

Sorry, I dont have a picture that I can send right now.
