Roles and Responsibilities
- Chris leads the Regulatory Policy team in Group Corporate Affairs and leads the BBC’s engagement with Ofcom and its regulatory framework.
- He and his team are responsible for the BBC Operating Licence; carrying out materiality assessments and Public Interest Tests for changes to the BBC’s public services; and the BBC’s Fair Trading requirements.
Biography
Chris joined the BBC in 2017 as the Head of Regulation and Economics. Previously Chris was a Competition Policy Director at Ofcom, specialising in the regulation of telecoms networks and postal services. Before his career as a regulator, Chris was a technology journalist working for Which? Magazine and other publications.
