E-mail blunder reveals royal secrets
Prince Charles
The Prince will leave for Poland on Wednesday
The Foreign Office has mistakenly sent an e-mail giving secret details of the Prince Charles' visit to Poland to the wrong person.

Officials declined to comment on the contents of the e-mail, but newspapers claimed it referred to sensitive details of where the Prince will stay, where he will visit and the cars he will use.

Reports said a 55-page document was meant to go to an aide at St James's Palace but instead went to a businessman with a similar e-mail address.

The Foreign Office admitted the blunder and said it would now review e-mail security.

Itinerary

A spokeswoman said: "We take the Prince of Wales' security very seriously and in light of this incident we are taking steps to ensure e-mail procedures are carefully followed."

"There obviously was a problem here but we can't comment on security matters."

The Foreign Office would not say whether Charles' itinerary had now changed.

The Prince is due to leave for Poland on Wednesday.
