China firm jobs under threat
Workers at a County Fermanagh factory are to go on a three-day week beginning on Monday.

A spokeswoman for Belleek Pottery said the decision was taken after a downturn in sales as a result of the 11 September attacks.

The company said they hoped the short week will only be in operation for about three months.

SDLP assembly member Tommy Gallagher said the news had created anxiety and difficulty for the people affected.

"Since the attack on the twin towers last September the management and workers had feared there would be a downturn in business and that has materialised now," he said.
