Orient Express helped to get back on track
The Orient Express at London Victoria station
The Orient Express is the world's most famous train
A Worcestershire tourist attraction has come to the rescue of the world's most famous train company.

Severn Valley Railway (SVR) provided a steam engine to enable the Orient Express to begin a journey from London on Saturday.

The Flying Scotsman locomotive, which usually pulls the prestigious train, has had to go in for maintenance work.

SVR sent its Union of South Africa engine, which is identical to the Flying Scotsman's Mallard, to move the Orient Express coaches from Victoria station to Southampton.

The Class A4 locomotives were both designed by Sir Nigel Gresley and are the fastest of their kind in the world.

The Union of South Africa train was moved on to the rail network on Friday afternoon for its journey to London.
