| Friday, 7 February, 2003, 12:45 GMT Fresh blow for pottery workers ![]() Royal Doulton has announced more job misery Pottery company Royal Doulton has announced another round of job losses in Stoke. Seventy eight workers are being made redundant at the firm's tableware division in Burslem. In a statement on Friday, Royal Doulton said it had now completed its workforce requirement for the tableware manufacturing facility at Nile Street. The announcement follows a review of the ongoing demand levels for products remaining at the Burslem site following the transfer of Royal Albert production to Indonesia. Face redundancy The workers who face redundancy will lose their jobs between the end of this month and the end of March. Royal Doulton closed its Beswick and Baddeley Green sites at the end of last year with the loss of more than 500 staff.
