Deaf people will soon be able to benefit from a device that will help them communicate in the business world.

"Chattertext" is a computerised telephone messaging system that will help deaf people make confidential calls without the need for a third person to listen in.

The device was developed with help from Worcestershire couple Justin and Becky Moule.

Mr Moule, who is deaf, said he had experienced many problems trying to communicate with companies over the phone.

"It will make a lot of difference," he said.

"It means I can contact people on the move and can communicate with anyone who has Chattertext."

The new system aims to help firms comply with legislation, due to be introduced next year, which aims to give complete access to people with disabilities

Chattertext goes on sale next month.
