Gang ambush taxi driver
Humberside Police
Police are appealing for witnesses
Police in Hull are hunting a gang who ambushed and robbed a taxi driver.

The driver was threatened with a screwdriver on Tuesday after his taxi was rammed in Massey Close with a stolen car.

Two male passengers in the taxi then demanded the driver's takings and made off in the stolen Vauxhall Cavalier with a third man.

The attack happened shortly after 2200 GMT and the pale blue stolen car was later found abandoned between Coltman Street and Selby Street.

The driver was not injured but police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
