A defibrillator
Three teenagers stole a defibrillator
Teenage thieves stole vital life-saving medical equipment as paramedics gave first aid during a 999 call-out.

The paramedics chased the gang of youths after they stole a defibrillator from the boot of their rapid response ambulance.

The equipment was taken from the green and white X-reg Vauxhall Vectra while it was parked in Reading, Berkshire.

Police are now appealing for help from anyone who may have any information about the theft.

The incident happened in Lyndhurst Road at around 0400 GMT on 1 January.

All three thieves are described as white males, aged between 14 and 15 years old.

One had short dark hair and wore a pale blue puffa jacket. Another was 5ft 9in tall and of medium build.

There are no details about the third offender available.
