Henry Blofeld
Henry Blofeld, the voice of cricket for millions
The renowned cricket commentator Henry Blofeld and the former Bishop of Thetford, the Right Reverend Timothy Dudley-Smith, are among Norfolk people honoured in the Queen's New Year list.

Both men have been awarded the OBE.

"Blowers" is well-known to cricket fans as the voice of radio commentaries.

Born at Hoveton, near Norwich, he played for Cambridge University and for his home county before turning to sports broadcasting.

The Mr Dudley-Smith is honoured for his hymn-writing.

His 250 hymn lyrics include Lord for the Years - written to mark the 100th anniversary of the Scripture Union.

Mrs Cynthia Margaret Clare, of Worstead, for services to the community.
Ivor Richard Hosgood, of Norwich, for services to music.
Capt Robert William Moland RN Rtd, of Dereham, for services to the King George's Fund for Sailors in Norfolk.
John Alexander Savage, of Hunstanton, a Metropolitan Police constable, for services to the police.
