| Monday, 16 December, 2002, 12:24 GMT Off-duty officers arrest shoplifter Two off-duty police officers arrested a shoplifter while out shopping in Milton Keynes with their six-month-old baby son and twins. The couple were in Boots at the Westcroft Retail Park on 29 December when they saw a shoplifter assault a pharmacist who tried to stop him running off with cosmetics worth �800. The husband and wife team grabbed the offender while fellow shoppers looked after their children. A man from Bletchley was later charged with theft, attempted theft, and actual bodily harm. Rail firm abolishes first class Train company Chiltern Railways has got rid of its first-class tickets in an attempt to reduce overcrowding. The company says that while demand for standard class travel is growing steadily, there has been no change in the number of passengers travelling first class. First-class season ticket holders have been offered refunds. The change came into effect on Sunday. New support group for parents A new support group has been set up to care for Milton Keynes families who have premature babies. MK Babies will help parents whose children need specialist medical treatment.
