| Wednesday, 11 December, 2002, 14:07 GMT Fatal crash driver over drink limit ![]() A driver who died in a car crash along with three others was still over the legal alcohol limit after drinking on the previous evening, an inquest has heard. Gurjinder Singh and his two passengers, Neil Taylor and Scott Thompson, had all been out the evening before the accident on the A428 near Denton in Northamptonshire in June. Their Audi crashed into a Polo driven in the opposite direction by Liza Toomer, who was also killed. Recording a verdict of accidental death, Northamptonshire coroner Anne Pember expressed surprise at the level of alcohol still in Mr Singh's blood at the time of the crash. A pathologist's report showed he was one-and-a-half times over the legal drink-drive limit. Mrs Pember said the deaths were caused by a combination of alcohol and high speed. | Top England stories now: Links to more England stories are at the foot of the page. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
