| Friday, 6 December, 2002, 11:10 GMT Funeral of Bali bomb victim ![]() Relatives and friends will remember Natalie Perkins The funeral of one of two cousins from Sheffield who were killed in the Bali bomb blast is to take place on Friday. The family and friends of 20-year-old Natalie Perkins, from Beauchief, are to gather in the city to pay their respects. Natalie had been travelling to Australia with her 18-year-old cousin, Laura France, who also lost her life in the bombing. Nearly 200 people, including at least 24 Britons, died when an explosion ripped through the Sari Club on the Indonesian island in mid-October. Private service But the painstaking process of identifying victims and processing paperwork in Bali has meant the funeral could not take place until now. The service is taking place at Hutcliffe Wood Crematorium and the family intends it to be a private service for close friends only. Alison Patey-Colton, an aunt of the cousins, told a press conference shortly after the bombing the girls had been "having the time of their lives" on the trip. Expressing her feelings at the time, she said:" I do not think there are any words that can express the feeling of losing two very important people out of our family." | See also: 05 Dec 02 | Asia-Pacific 05 Dec 02 | Asia-Pacific 27 Nov 02 | England 16 Oct 02 | England 15 Oct 02 | England Internet links: The BBC is not responsible for the content of external internet sites Top England stories now: Links to more England stories are at the foot of the page. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
