| Thursday, 5 December, 2002, 11:40 GMT Wild West Wiltshire ![]() Fancy dress is optional for visitors to the farm A dairy farm in Wiltshire has turned itself into the OK Corral to revive its funds. Third generation farmers Jo and Sarah Smith have a Wild West high street on their farm near Swindon, which is open for Christmas parties. Over 5,000 bookings have so far been taken for dinner in the old West mock-up, complete with a saloon bar, rodeo-rides and a shooting gallery. Without this corporate entertainment, the couple say it would be hard to keep on their 150-acre Redlands Farm in Wanborough. Parachute club Mrs Smith told BBC News Online: "The diversification funds the farming. "Farming is in decline and we need to look at other income and use the land that we have got." Other attractions besides the farm's organic dairy herd are a microlight, skydiving and parachuting club. Any potential cowboys can expect to pay between 25 and 40 a head for drinks, dinner and a late night can-can and disco. The marquee housing the event can hold up to 600 people and bookings run until 22 December. | See also: 05 Dec 02 | UK 03 Dec 02 | Business 12 Jan 01 | Business Top England stories now: Links to more England stories are at the foot of the page. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
