Two injured in bike crash
The John Radcliffe Hospital
The boy was taken to Oxford's John Radcliffe Hospital
Police are appealing for witnesses to an accident in Wiltshire that left a schoolboy with serious head injuries.

David Gallagher, 13, was knocked off his bike in a collision with a motorcycle in Swindon whilst on a paper round.

He is in a critical, but stable condition in Oxford's John Radcliffe Hospital.

The motorcyclist, Richard Iles from Bishopstone, suffered a suspected fractured skull in the crash on Monday evening.

Kingshill road

Police are particularly interested in talking to a woman in a long beige coat who stopped to offer assistance at the scene.

The accident happened on Kingshill road around 1715 GMT on Monday.

David, a pupil at Commonweal School, was waiting to cross the road when the 750cc Kawasaki approached.

Garden wall

As it drew nearer, David crossed into the middle of the road and the collision occurred.

The motorcycle hit a garden wall and Mr Iles was thrown off.

Both victims were taken to Princess Margaret Hospital in Swindon.
