Police hop to jog memories in pubs
Detectives investigating the death of a man from head injuries have been visiting pubs in Leicester to try to find out how he died.

Martin Simpson, 59, was found unconscious on Albion Street at about 0230 GMT on Saturday.

He died a short time later.

Officers visited pubs in the city on Thursday to hand out leaflets and speak to pub goers and bar staff.

Detective Chief Inspector Mark Wilson said: "We are hoping to jog people's memory or to find people who are unaware of this incident at this stage so we can find out exactly what happened to Mr Simpson."

Following his death, Mr Simpson's family released a statement.

"He was a very happy-go-lucky person who lived for the moment.

"Although he was a private person he was very sociable and enjoyed going out.

"If anyone has any information that could help the police we would be grateful if they could contact them."
