| Thursday, 21 November, 2002, 17:32 GMT Vandals break cathedral windows ![]() Police are investigating the vandalism Vandals have smashed 24 stained glass windows at Gloucester Cathedral - at a cost of �43,000. The windows were in the cloister and were Victorian. Some had featured in the Harry Potter films. The cathedral is now reviewing its security arrangements. 'On patrol' Chapter Steward Tony Higgs said the cathedral was now looking at installing CCTV cameras. "We are also considering restricting access to some areas and increasing the number of people on patrol." He said the vandalism was unacceptable and could not be condoned.
