| Thursday, 21 November, 2002, 15:49 GMT Blood on stocking 'was Danielle's' ![]() A number of items were found in Mr Campbell's loft Blood on a stocking discovered in the house of the man accused of murdering Danielle Jones matched the teenager's DNA, a court has been told. Two bloodstains on the white hold-up stocking contained a mixture of DNA from the 15-year-old and her uncle, Stuart Campbell, Chelmsford Crown Court heard. The stocking was one of a pair found along with other items of women's underwear in a green canvas bag in the loft of Mr Campbell's home in Grays, Essex. He denies kidnapping and murdering his niece.
Mr Page said the chance of the DNA being from someone other than the teenager or someone other than a relative of hers was "one in a billion". A second stain on the calf area was also said to contain a mixture of Danielle's and Mr Campbell's DNA. The jury was told the green canvas bag held a number of items of underwear and a lip gloss. Danielle, whose body has not been found, was last seen walking to catch a bus to school on 18 June last year in East Tilbury, Essex. The trial continues. | See also: 14 Nov 02 | England 05 Nov 02 | England 01 Nov 02 | England 29 Oct 02 | England 21 Oct 02 | England 10 Oct 02 | England 09 Oct 02 | England 02 Oct 02 | England Top England stories now: Links to more England stories are at the foot of the page. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
