Freight train derails
Rail tracks
The incident is not expected to affect services
A freight train has been derailed near Clapham Junction station in south London.

Railtrack said the train, which was operated by freight company EWS, was on a dedicated goods line between Clapham Junction and Long Hedge junction.

The middle three carriages came off the track just before 1300 GMT on Tuesday.

There are no reports of any injuries but one eyewitness said the train is wedged under a bridge.

Services 'unaffected'

EWS said the three wagons which came off the track were empty.

The company estimated it would be able to clear the track fairly quickly and did not believe mainline passenger services would be affected.

It said the train had come from Richmond and passed through Clapham Junction, going under the mainline track into Waterloo.
