BB Print Digital, based in the Worcestershire town, has sold nearly 2,000 copies of a calendar showing the town's most attractive road features. Originally devised as a joke, the calendar has now become a cult classic. The company has even received orders from Australia and the United States.
Kevin Beresford, the head of BB Print, said: "We'd been trying to think of what would be the nerdiest thing we could come up with and this was it." Production manager Jason Holmes said the calendar - which shows 12 roundabouts from the town - had an initial print run of just 100 copies. He said the calendar itself was originally devised as a publicity gimmick. "It's hard to believe that photos of roundabouts in Redditch could cause such a stir, but they appear to have put the town on the map," he said. "We can't believe they have sold so well - we are thinking about doing roundabouts by night next year." | Top England stories now: Links to more England stories are at the foot of the page. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
