Details of the deal, which took more than three months to put together, have not been revealed, but managers said the pay increase is more than 3.6%. Noel Wade of Lincolnshire Ambulance Trust said: "We have been at this for more than three months and it is a good result for ambulance staff and for patients." Unison regional officer Richard Parker says the new offer is substantial and that he will recommend it to his members. "It does address some of the issues of low pay and is a structure that will help many of our members get out of poverty pay," Mr Parker said. Union members will be asked to vote on the two-year pay offer. | See also: 29 Oct 02 | England 25 Oct 02 | England 31 Jul 02 | Health 28 Feb 02 | England Top England stories now: Links to more England stories are at the foot of the page. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
