Police car
The drugs were recovered on Tuesday
Two people have been charged in connection with a seizure of heroin worth 50,000.

Officers from Bradford South Police and the city's district drugs team seized the heroin and two kilos of cannabis on Tuesday.

The drugs were recovered in the Barkerend area of the city.

Police described the find as a "major seize", which they say may have been destined for the streets of Bradford.

A 29-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman have been charged with possession with intent to supply heroin and possession with intent to supply cannabis.

They are due to appear before Bradford magistrates on Wednesday.

Since the start of the Community Against Drugs scheme in July, the district drugs team has made more than 90 arrests, including 56 people on suspicion of dealing in Class A drugs.
