Five people died after contracting the bug
Five patients are still being treated at the Furness General Hospital for Legionnaires' Disease.

One is in intensive care and is described as poorly but stable, with the other four in a comfortable condition.

A total of 133 cases of the disease were reported in the south of the county during the outbreak in August.

There were 13 cases elsewhere in Britain, all with a confirmed link to Barrow-in-Furness.

It was the UK's worst outbreak of Legionnaires' disease in more than a decade.

Five people died after contracting the bug.

Experts investigating the cause of the outbreak confirmed the source as being the town's Forum 28 arts and civic centre.

A special team was set up by Cumbria and Lancashire NHS health protection unit to deal with the outbreak.

All confirmed cases involved people who had either lived near to, or visited, Barrow town centre during July.

Health clinics have been held on weekends in Barrow to monitor the recovery of those who contracted the disease.
