A man has died after a suspected shooting in Manchester.

The victim was found with serious chest injuries after police were called to a flat in Wellington Road, Whalley Range, at about 1800 BST on Friday.

They were responding to reports of a shooting in the area.

The man, who was believed to be aged in his 30s, died later in Manchester Royal Infirmary.

His identity is not yet known.
