Patients flee hospital fire
Fire engine interior - generic
Four engines rushed to the scene
Three hundred patients have been evacuated from a London hospital after a suspected gas leak.

They were removed by firefighters from the Cecil Flemming Ward at University College Hospital in central London on Friday night.

Four fire engines attended while staff from gas handling company Transco were summoned to pinpoint the source of the suspected leak.

The building was declared safe at around 1930 BST and the patients were allowed back into the ward.
