Joshua Waring has had a heifer calf officially registered in his name. Despite owning just one cow - called Topaz - Joshua is officially the owner of a herd. It means the youngster, who lives at Rand Farm Park near Wragby in Lincolnshire, can take part in cattle shows.
"It is a very good calf. I wouldn't say I am confident but I am hopeful. "Dad's going to help me because really it could do anything. "It could run out of the ring. It could go wild, it could charge, it could do anything so Dad's going to help me." Joshua said he wants to expand his herd, once the calf begins breeding in two or three years. "I live on a farm and it is just something a normal farmer would do." | See also: 04 Sep 02 | England 07 Aug 02 | England Top England stories now: Links to more England stories are at the foot of the page. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
