Crowe tops 'cold' list
Russell Crowe has been dubbed Hollywood's coldest star by an online film magazine.

FilmThreat.com placed the Gladiator star at the head of its annual Frigid 50 poll for being "our favourite wild boor, whose bad-boy big mouth and chip-on-the-shoulder easily cost him and Oscar for A Beautiful Mind".

Among the other names slated are Winona Ryder, Cuba Gooding Jr, Richard Gere, Barbra Steisand and Anna Nicole Smith.

The magazine says of its number 33, Jennifer Lopez: "With bombs like The Wedding Planner under her butt, we're just trying to remember when she was any good at all."

Marley tapes up for sale

Auction house Christie's is to sell one of Bob Marley's taped jam sessions at a New York auction on 20 December.

The tape is owned by musician Jimmy Norman, who Marley played with while on a visit to New York in 1968.

It features eight songs, with Norman playing piano, Marley on guitar, with Marley's wife Rita and Norman's wife Dorothy singing.

The reel-to-reel tape is said to be in "fragile, but good playing condition," and the asking price is $15,000.

Norman, 65, said he found the tape in his Manhattan home in June, and approached Christie's to sell two months ago.

Jagger heads Aids fight

Celebrity campaigner Bianca Jagger is among celebrities endorsing a campaign to fight Aids.

The campaign launched on Tuesday at the London Eye ferris wheel.

Jagger has recently been visiting India trying to raise awareness of the illness.

Campaigners are calling for a massive increase in funding to help fight the disease in the Third World.

The event has been organised by 22 UK-based Aids charities and international development organisations.

Author forced out of home

Jurassic Park author Michael Crichton says he was forced out his home by media intrusion after he and his daughter were robbed at gunpoint at the house.

Crichton says he was sleeping at his Santa Monica home in September and was surprised by two gunmen who tied him and his 13-year-old daughter up before ransacking the house.

He later untied himself and called police.

But the author said: "it was almost as bad having a lot of reporters chasing me day and night asking for details."

He has since sold the house.

The 83-year-old underwent surgery to amputate part of her right leg following the accident.

Bay has played grandmothers and other elderly women in over 50 TV shows, including The Wedding Planner, Twins, Inspector Gadget and Happy Gilmore.
