Actress Julia Roberts has released an intimate photo of her wedding day, following her private midnight marriage to cameraman Daniel Moder.

The couple wed in her estate outside Taos, New Mexico, on 4 July.

The wedding was a private affair of just family and friends.

But there was speculation the guest list included George Clooney, director Steven Soderbergh, Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston.

The invitation was reportedly for a barbecue, with no mention of wedding ceremony, but guests were asked to wear white linen.

Photographers and cameras were kept away from the proceedings, which were held in a giant white marquee.

But the couple have released one treasured photograph to share their special occasion with fans, showing Roberts in a flower-trimmed tiara.

This is the second marriage of Oscar-winner Roberts, who was married to country and western singer Lyle Lovett for 21 months.

Exposed

Her love life has been under constant scrutiny since she hit the Hollywood big time with Pretty Woman in 1990.

She split with 24 actor fianc� Kiefer Sutherland on the eve of their 1991 wedding.

Her relationship with Moder came under intense pressure from the US tabloids after it was exposed that he was still married.

His divorce from make-up artist Vera Moder came through just a month before he took his vows again.

Roberts broke up with actor Benjamin Bratt last year after a romance that lasted nearly four years. He went on to marry actress Talisa Soto in April.

She has also been romantically linked to actors Jason Patric, Dylan McDermott, Matthew Perry and Liam Neeson.
