The Who launched themselves on the rock scene in the 1960s  No expense was spared when it came to promoting their music  By the end of the 1970s, the band were considered one of the cornerstones of the UK music scence  Entwistle was considered the "quiet" bandmember  Entwistle also had his own band beyond his work with The Who, which he called simply The John Entwistle Band  Entwistle, Daltrey and Townshend were friends and colleagues for more than 40 years  Fans were quick to pay tribute to Entwistle in Las Vegas where The Who were due to play the day after his death | |
