BBC hosts drugged and robbed
Trinny Woodall and Susannah Constantine
Woodall and Constantine advise on how to dress
BBC presenters Susannah Constantine and Trinny Woodall have been drugged and robbed while in Cannes.

The pair, who front What Not To Wear, were staying in a friend's villa on the French Riviera while filming a special edition.

Robbers are believed to have broken in as they slept and drugged them with a chemical suspected to be chloroform, before stealing cash and jewellery.

They woke after the raid on Monday morning last week to find the items missing.

After reporting the incident to the local police, they then travelled home that day as planned.

A BBC spokeswoman said: "It was a horrible shock for the girls but fortunately neither was hurt by the ordeal.

"They both want to put it behind them and will not be making further comment."

The French police are currently making further inquiries.

The pair first came to fame with their internet startup Ready2, which advised people on fashion and how to dress.

Their BBC show takes individuals wanting their dress sense revamped and gives them a makeover.

The presenters' agent and the producers of the show refused to comment on the incident.
