| | Thursday, 28 November, 2002, 18:17 GMT In pictures: Kenya attacks Suicide bombers launch a deadly attack on a hotel on the Kenyan coast used by Israelis. Meanwhile, an Israeli holiday jet is fired on as it takes off from the nearby Mombasa airport.
 A vehicle thought to be laden with explosives smashed through the entrance, setting off a huge blast  Only shortly before, a group of Israeli tourists had arrived in the lobby at the start of their holiday  Local Kenyans, most of them dancers greeting the Israeli guests, bore the brunt of the blast  Three Israelis - two of them children - were among the dead  The Israeli-owned hotel was popular with tourists keen to escape the violence at home  Kenyan investigators are being joined by Mossad operatives in the hunt for the attackers  At the same time, an Israeli jet was attacked by missiles on take-off from Mombasa  But the attack failed, and passengers were flown safely back to Israel. | |
