The Shadow Chancellor, George Osborne, has sparked a political row, by suggesting that Gordon Brown's handling of the economic crisis could cause the collapse of Steling.
The Prime Minister says Mr Osborne seems to have back-tracked on a Conservative pledge to support the government in the current economic climate.
