Newly-weds' plea for stolen snaps

A newly-married couple are pleading for the return of their wedding photos which were stored on a memory stick in a camera bag which was stolen.

Cass and Andrew Gardner tied the knot in Carmarthen on Saturday and after the reception went to Paxton's Tower.

While there their photographer's bag was taken and in it was a memory stick with all the photos from their big day.

The Gardners, from Ffairfach near Llandeilo, are hoping whoever has it will return it anonymously.

Mrs Gardner, 35, said: "The day was perfect, it was a small simple wedding and it could not have gone better."

After the ceremony at Carmarthen Registry Office they and their families had lunch in Brechfa before they decided to go to Paxton's Tower for more photographs.

The wedding photographer put his small rucksack-style bag down near a gate while he took more images of the couple who have been together for eight years.

But as they were about to leave at about 1600 BST they noticed it was missing.

"The memory stick had all the photos of the day up until then," added Mrs Gardner.

"It would be so lovely to think that whoever has it would return it."

Also in the bag was a wallet without money, and a mobile phone and credit cards that have been cancelled.

The photographer's driving licence was in the bag and Mrs Gardner said she would be delighted if the memory stick was posted back to him anonymously.

"He [the photographer] has been on the phone everyday and he feels awful, but these things happen."

To make matters worse an illness in the family meant the couple missed their honeymoon.

"It would really make up for it if we could get the photographs back," she added.
