Neil Morrissey also co-owns The Three Mariners pub in Laugharne |
Work on a hotel owned by actor Neil Morrissey has been carried out without planning permission, according to council officials. Officers from Carmarthenshire Council are investigating after work was carried out at Hurst Hotel in Laugharne, which Mr Morrissey part owns.
They will determine if any further action is appropriate.
Stuart Owen, Carmarthenshire council's development control manager, said: "They have carried out work on the listed building without the necessary consent."
It is believed the problems are related to modifications made to the windows at the property.
Staff at the hotel said they were unable to comment.
Mr Morrissey, 41, is the star of Men Behaving Badly and Paradise Heights, also provides the voice for the Bob the Builder cartoons.
He and his business partner Matt Roberts also own the nearby New Three Mariners pub.
Friendly welcome
Earlier this year, Mr Morrissey was invited to open a new public garden and seating area on the shore front walk to the Dylan Thomas Boathouse.
He told BBC News Online he had been made to feel very welcome in Laugharne.
"I've been coming to Laugharne for about two years but I've becoming to Wales for about 20 since I was a student.
"It's great to come here and see people and friends.
"But I'm not allowed to call myself a Laugharney yet as I've not been living here for three years."
