Thousands of fans hope to travel back to Wembley in May

Ticket allocations for Cardiff City's FA cup final with Portsmouth next month have been announced by the club.

The club have been allocated 25,000 tickets for the 17 May Wembley clash.

Ambassadors - people who bought season tickets early for 2007/08 and have renewed already for next season - are entitled to two tickets.

Season ticket holders who bought in the current season will be entitled to one ticket each, as will ambassadors who have not renewed for next season.

Ambassadors who bought season tickets for 08/09 only will get one ticket.

The club says it has 1,500 remaining 08/09 ambassador season tickets available and these have now gone on sale on a first-come-first-served basis until Friday.

Concessions

If fans are not currently an ambassador or season ticket holder but purchase one of these season tickets, they will be entitled to one FA Cup final ticket.

Seats for the final start at 35 and are also available for 60, 80 and 95.

Concessions, charged at a 10 discount to each of these prices, are available to children aged 16 and under, senior citizens aged 60 and over and students holding a valid NUS card.

Initially tickets will be sold at all these prices via postal applications only, using an official FA Cup final booking form which can be downloaded from City's official website from Friday.

The forms can also be collected in person at the club ticket office, club shop or the official store at 5 Central Square, Cardiff, also from Friday.

These postal applications from those wishing to pay by credit/debit card only will be accepted from Friday until 25 April the following week, say the club.

Tickets will then be sold to personal applicants only from the club ticket office. None will be available to purchase online or via the telephone.

Avoid queuing

To avoid queuing, the club will be selling the tickets on a stand-by-stand basis with 07/08 ambassadors having priority days in the following areas of the ground:

28-30 April - 07/08 ambassadors in the main grandstand;

1-3 May - 07/08 ambassadors in Bob Bank seating and family stand;

5-7 May - 07/08 ambassadors in Bob Bank terrace/Grange End terrace;

8-10 May - 07/08 season ticket holders (non-ambassadors) and new 08/09 ambassadors;

13 May - Away travel members on a first-come-first-served basis subject to availability.

The ticket office will be open from 0900 BST to 1700 BST on the above dates.

The club have advised that all fans have their membership card or fan number with them when purchasing their ticket.
