Some living in the village have now installed surveillance cameras |
Residents living in a small north Wales village say they are living in fear after a spate of petrol bomb attacks on cars. In the past four weeks, there have been half a dozen attempts to damage cars in Penyffordd, Flintshire, as well as racist graffiti being daubed on landmarks and houses.
One resident who would not be named said many people are so concerned they have installed surveillance cameras on their property.
Between Wednesday night and Thursday morning police say another petrol bomb was used to damage a car parked at Hillside Road in the village.
A number of villagers interviewed by BBC Wales News Online on Friday refused to comment on the situation for fear of reprisals.

Earlier this year, graffiti was daubed on landmarks in Penyffordd.
David Price, 43, said: "The village was quiet, it's peaceful," he said.
"Paint was daubed on the little chapel here which I think is absolutely disgusting.
A 22-year-old woman who refused to be named in case her car was attacked said the incidents are the talk of the village.
"There's been a string of car bombings and graffiti on properties and obviously there's a general concern," she said.

Since the 9 November six vehicles have been attacked but no one has been injured.
Alyn and Deeside MP Mark Tami said he was "alarmed" to hear about the situation and is in touch with police.
