Michael Owen is a well known figure in Hawarden |
Football fans keen to get a piece of superstar Michael Owen's life can - for just under 200,000. The former north Wales home of the Liverpool striker has been put on the market by its present owners.
The five-bedroom detached house in Cromwell Close, Hawarden is where the 22-year-old lived as a schoolboy player.
The estate agents, Thomas C Adams, are not marketing the 190,000 house as Owen's former home.
However, as house prices continue to soar in the region it is expected to sell quickly.
The footballer spent his early years in the house |
A spokeswoman said there had been a lot of interest in the house, not just from Michael Owen fans but generally because it is such a nice property.
Owen, who is expecting his first child with childhood sweetheart Louise Bonsall this spring, has bought a 1.6m Tudor manor house in Northop, Flintshire.
Owen's extensive refurbishment plans for the Grade-II listed property include a lavish play room, stables for 10 horses and a glass-roofed leisure and fitness wing.
The England international is no stranger to property, he bought a street in Ewloe on the outskirts of Hawarden for himself and his family a few years ago.
