A rare collection of photographs of The Beatles are to go on display in Scotland for the first time. Taken during the filming of Help! in 1965, the Michael Peto photos show the fab four relaxing between takes and joking together.
The 500 images were left to the University of Dundee when Mr Peto died in 1970.
They were then archived and forgotten about for years until they were discovered in 2004.
They will be displayed at the University's Queen Mother Building from 25 May to 11 July.
The exhibition is part of the 40th Birthday celebrations for the University of Dundee and will run during the Reunite in Dundee Homecoming Weekend for Alumni, as well as during the Graduation and the inaugural Dundee Literary Festival.
Patricia Whatley, University archivist, said: "Michael Peto's photographs of The Beatles give us a remarkable behind-the-scenes look at a band which was at the height of its power and fame.
"The pictures and this exhibition give us the opportunity to raise awareness of his significant contribution to photojournalism."
