Refinery incident probe launched
Grangemouth plant
The two workers returned to the site after a hospital check-up
An inquiry has been launched at part of the Grangemouth plant after two workers required treatment following a safety incident, BBC Scotland has learned.

The employees were working at the petrochemical and refinery complex, run by private operator Ineos, when they became "disorientated".

They had been working on the outside of a container which had been shut down for maintenance on 25 September.

They were examined at Stirling Royal Infirmary before returning to work.

An Ineos spokesman said: "The health and safety of all personnel on site is paramount.

"The findings of the investigation will shape the way in which similar activities are carried out in the future."

The refinery, previously owned by BP, is now operated by Innovene.
