The vapour caused a huge plume of white smoke |
Grangemouth docks are now operating as normal again following a chemical spill on Wednesday. Falkirk Council confirmed that the remaining 50m exclusion zone around the docks had been lifted.
Emergency services had initially put 500m restrictions in place after divinylbenzene escaped from a container, causing a huge vapour plume.
Falkirk Council said the incident was now in a "recovery phase" and was no longer considered to be an emergency.
A spokesman said the council was working with Forth Ports, the Scottish Environment Protection Agency and technical experts to complete the operation at the site.
No-one was injured or reported any ill-effects as a result of the leak, which took place in a container storage area on a quayside within the docks.
