Public unveiling for PPP schools
Class
The project will deliver three secondary schools
Designs to replace Clackmannanshire's secondary schools have been unveiled.

The local authority is planning to build three new schools in a public private partnership (PPP) deal worth more than 60m.

Detailed plans for the schools, which will go before councillors in July, have now been made available to the general public.

If approved, building is planned to start in the summer, with the schools scheduled to open in August 2008.

Clackmannanshire Council schools estate convener Brian Fearon said: "The plans are almost constantly evolving and have come a long way in the past few months.

"This is a great opportunity for everyone to give them a once-over."

The project to build the schools - Lornshill Academy, Alloa Academy and Alva Academy - is being taken forward by the Clackmannanshire Education Partnership.

The consortiumincludes Bilfinger Berger BOT, Ogilvie Construction and Amey Business Services.
