Fans queued overnight for tickets earlier this year |
Organisers of the T in the Park festival are releasing 12,000 extra tickets for sale after some were recovered in an anti-touting operation. The extra briefs include ones which were cancelled after music fans flouted a two-ticket-per-person rule.
Event operator Big Day Out has also been given permission to increase capacity at the Perthshire venue.
The two-day July festival this year features bands including The Who and the Red Hot Chilli Peppers.
Tickets for the event, at Balado, sold out in record time in February after fans queued through the night.
The changes mean it will now be attended by 75,000 music fans each day.
The batch of day tickets will be released at 0900 BST on Saturday and will only be sold online and by phone.
Exclusion zone
Big Day Out boss Geoff Ellis said: "It's great news for us that there is now a system in place to help identify and eliminate touts and once again we would urge fans not to buy from unofficial sources."
He added: "The demand for tickets this year is testament to the success of the event and it's great that even more music fans will now be able to join us at Balado for this year's T in the Park."
Organisers have warned those without tickets to stay away from the festival venue.
This year the site will be surrounded by a "fortress fence" and an exclusion zone.
