The T in the Park music festival has beaten Glastonbury to win the top prize at this year's UK Festival Awards. The event, held in July near Kinross in Scotland, won best major festival and an award for best facilities and organisation in the public vote.
The Bestival event on the Isle of Wight won the innovation award and best medium-sized festival.
US rock band the Foo Fighters were the most popular act, winning best headliner and best rock act.
Geoff Ellis, of T in the Park promoters Big Day Out, thanked the event's audience for their support.
"It is, from my own experience and from what I'm told by almost every artist that plays the event, the best in the world," he said.
Green Day, New Order and Keane were among the top acts to perform at this year's event.

Glastonbury, which was hit by mud baths this year following heavy rain, won the best family festival prize in the awards, organised by the Virtual Festivals website.
The Secret Garden, which took place in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, was voted best small festival.
Heavy metal event Bloodstock Open Air won best new festival.
Creamfields was the best dance festival while Channel 4's pop show T4 on the Beach won the best one-day event award.
Scissors Sisters were the fans' top festival pop act, Prodigy won the dance prize and Goldie Lookin' Chain won the best urban band.
Veteran rockers Status Quo won the best festival feel-good act award.
