Rail services have been badly affected by heavy rain and flooding, especially in southern and central Scotland.

Train operator ScotRail said there were no services between Glasgow and Dunblane.

Edinburgh to Dunblane was reduced to an hourly service and Glasgow Queen Street to Edinburgh was every 30 minutes.

On the West Coast mainline flooding closed the line between Carlisle and Carstairs for some time but it has since reopened.

A landslip between Carlisle and Penrith was also causing disruption.
