New bridge is 'absolutely wonderful'

A new temporary bridge uniting north and south Workington has been praised by local residents.

Workington's new Barker Crossing, built by the Army, is named after Pc Bill Barker who died when Northside Bridge collapsed as he tried to clear traffic.

Barbera Burnyeat said the bridge was ''absolutely wonderful''
