Names released of crash victims
Police have released the names of two people killed in a crash outside Dumfries on Thursday afternoon.

Douglas Waterson, of Carrick Road and Maureen Nish, of Osbourne Drive, both aged 63, died after the accident on the A75 at Collin bypass at about 1520 BST.

Their vehicle, a red Proton Wira, was in collision with a blue Chrysler Neon, driven by a 39-year-old Annan woman with a 36-year-old female passenger.

Police have appealed for witnesses to the crash to come forward.
